RBI fixes reference rate at Rs 48.37 per USD

Mumbai, The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today fixed the reference rate at Rs 48.37 per US dollar, up by 10 paise from its previous rate of Rs 48.27 per unit.

New Delhi, Petron Engineering Construction Ltd today said it has bagged an order worth Rs 48.10 crore from Jaiprakash Associates Ltd (JAL) for a cement project in Andhra Pradesh.
The contract is for mechanical fabrication and erection for Jaypee Balaji Cement Project at Krishna in Andhra Pradesh, the company said in a statement.
