TN CM sanctions Rs 17 lakh to bereaved families

Chennai, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today sanctioned a relief of Rs 17 lakh to the families of 17 killed in the recent fire mishap at M P Agro Industries in Namakkal district of the state.
An official release here said that after the mishap was brought to his notice, the Chief Minister, who expressed his anguish, sanctioned Rs one lakh each to the families of 17 workers charred to death in the mishap.
He ordered that the solatium be paid from the Chief Minister’s General Relief Fund, the release said.
