Panaji, Tata group’s Titan Industries Limited has launched an aggressive marketing drive to outwit its own domestic market share which constitutes 70 per cent in the organised wrist watch segment now.

As part of the drive, the company had started offering 20 per cent rebate for a month from today on every purchase of brand new Titan watch through exchange of any old watch, whether working or not, irrespective of the make.

Disclosing this to media persons here, the company’s western regional retailing manager Sanjay Bhattachrjee said the exchange programme was applicable at all its outlets and departmental stores across the country except Kerala.

Besides, the company also offers a Titan Heritage watch free with every purchase of Nebula, its 18-Karat solid gold watch collection.

On Xylus, the Swiss premium brand from the House of Titan, the customer gets a Titan Edge watch free, he added.

The similar exchange offer last year had resulted in 20 per cent jump in its turnover, which stood at Rs 3,046 crores for 2007-08, even as the House of Titan had embarked on innovations in design, quality and reliability of its product range, he claimed.
