Bangalore, The thick monsoon clouds hovering over the city, disappointed hundreds of people who gathered to watch the celestial event of the year, the longest solar eclipse of the 21st century, today.

The Meteorological Department had made arrangements to enable people of the garden city to see the glimpses of solar eclipse at various places. However, the heavy clouds in the sky blocked the view of the celestial event.

Hundreds of people gathered at Lalbagh and near the premises of the Visveswaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, where the Meteorological department had made arrangements to facilitate the people to watch the happening of solar eclipse.

The experiences of others, who tried their luck to watch the event from the roof of their houses in different part of the city, were also not different due to thick clouds cover.
