Railways have no commando battalion

New Delhi, Jul 23 (UNI) There is no Commando Battalion in Railways at present, the Lok Sabha was informed today.
Minister of State for Railways K H Muniyappa said in a written reply that the commandos are not recruited directly in Railways.
Some of the existing RPF/RPSF personnel are being imparted commando training with various organisations like NSG, CRPF, Punjab Police and Assam Rifles.
He said the deployment of trained personnel will definitely improve the security scenario.
