Quality roads to check naxal menace

Aurangabad, The state road construction department has approved a proposal for construction of three roads falling in naxal-affected areas with a view to combat extremism through better connectivity and improving the economic condition of the local people.
Official sources said the decision had been taken to construct three important roads under the special scheme launched for development of the naxal-hit areas. The roads which would be constructed under the said scheme are Deo-Amba, Aurangabad-Rafiganj via Sinha College and Haspura-Mehandia.
”The length of Deo-Amba road is 17 km, Rafiganj-Aurangabad 7.4 km and Haspura-Mehandia 6.4 km,” sources said, adding the entire construction cost would be around Rs 35 crore.
The area where the famous Sun temple was located would also be developed as a tourist spot, sources said, adding ring roads would also come up in the area, enabling the visitors to reach the historical Sun temple without facing any difficulties.
