Prohibitory orders imposed on border areas

Agartala, The Tripura government has promulgated prohibitory orders under section 144 Cr PC along the Indo-Bangladesh border in the West district.
According to an official release here today, quoting the West District Magistrate Kishore Ambuly, the prohibitory orders have been imposed on Sadar, Bishalgarh, Sonamura and Khowai sub-division 500 meter from the border area.
The order, which came into force with immediate effect to protect the lives, property and maintain peace along the border in these sub-divisions, will remain in force till August 30, the release added.
The DM also imposed such order in the Rajbhavan areas from the bus-stop, close to Circuit House, to maintain peace in the area.
The ban came into effect from June 27 and will continue till August 25.
It also includes prohibition on organising any meeting, procession and use of microphone during this period.
Any one found violating the order will be held under the relevant section of Cr PC, the order stated.
