Mirzapur, Police would be provided satellite phones for easy communication in naxal-infested Mirzapur and Sonebhadra districts of Uttar Pradesh.
The sleuths in these naxal affected districts, would be the first in the state to be equipped with satellite phones, Inspector General of Police (Vindhyachal) Chandradev Tiwari said today.
The satellite phone would ease the communication as the contact becomes difficult in woods and bushy areas, he added.
Moreover, the police stations and chowkis at Sonebhadra would be strengthened and facilitated with helipads.
Camps would also be arranged in the naxal-hit areas to link common men with the police, Mr Tiwari informed Adding, stitching machines would be distributed for employment and a check would be maintained on government schemes.
