Passenger held for carrying peacock feathers

Chennai, A Kuala Lumpur-bound passenger was arrested at Chennai Airport today for carrying peacock feathers.
Airport sources said R Krishnan(30) of Erode in Tamil Nadu was about to board the Indian Airlines flight for Kuala Lumpur with two boxes when Customs officials grew suspicious and questioned him.
The passenger said he was carrying foam bed and pillows. Not satisfied with his reply, the officials opened his boxes and found peacock feathers.
Since the crime was related to Forest Department, the passenger was handed over to the authorities concerned for further investigation.
