Orchid Chem receives US FDA nod for anti-hypertensive drug

New Delhi, Drug manufacturer Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals today said it has received US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) approval to sell its anti-hypertensive tablets.
The Chennai-based firm has got nod for 2.5 mg, 5 mg and 10 mg dosages of Amlodipine Besylate, it said in a statement.
With this approval, the company’s cumulative Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) nod count stands at 32 and the total ANDA filing count stands at 50.
