Kayastha Mahasabha honours newly elected MPs

New Delhi, The All India Kayastha Mahasabha, www.kayastha.com and KP Trust along with other Kayastha organisations have felicitated the newly elected MPs, including Minister of Food Processing Industries Subodh Kant Sahay, Shatrughan Sinha, Sanjay Nirupum, Media Advisor of Prime Minister Harish Khare and Deepa Dasmunsi.
Organisers on the occasion here yesterday said the aim of the programme was to stop disintegration of the Kayastha society and to bring everyone concerned on one stage to help the country progress.
Media incharge of the programme Abhay Sinha said the concept of Kayastha should not be linked with any caste as such as it has a broader meaning than that.
”It’s a culture of the country,” he said.
Addressing the meet, BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha said numerous Kayastha great leaders played an important role in the nation building and they irrespective of their caste and fields worked as mass leaders and earned laurels from all over the world.
Mentioning the names of great socialist Lok Nayak Jayaprakash, Country’s first President Dr Rajendra Prasad, former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Sashtri and freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose, he said they all worked for the country as a whole and never allowed themselves to be confined only to their castes and regions.
The speakers said the people of the Kayastha society had been contributing for every important field be it politics, journalism, and culture.
Many well-known politicians, poets, comedians and scientists, including Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports MS Gill, former Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha Najma Heptulla, were present on the occasion.
