Iqbal Singh leaves for Puducherry

Jalandhar, Mr Iqbal Singh today left for New Delhi from where he will catch a flight for Puducherry where he will be sworn-in as the Lt Governor of the Union Territory tomorrow.

He was given a warm departure by Punjab Congressmen, his admirers and friends at the railway station here before he boarded the Shatabadi Express.

Mr Singh while extending his gratitude and thanks to the UPA chairperson and Congress President Sonia Gandhi said she was a true secular leader who had selected many leaders from the minority community for high and esteemed posts in the government.
