Four criminals arrested under ‘Goondas Act’

Tiruchirapalli, The Inspector General of Police, Central Zone and City Police Commisioner(in-charge), Karan Sinha, had ordered the detention of four notorious anti-social elements under the ‘Goondas Act’ in two different criminal cases, here yesterday.

Police said the detenue P Guna(32) of Woraiyur, involved in many murder, attempt to murder, kidnap and extortion cases, was recently arrested in connection with the kidnapping of one Balakrishnan, hailing from the city.

Three more criminals, B Chinnaraman, alias Ramachandran of North Tharanallur, K Palpandi and M Mari, both of Madurai, were arrested for an attempt to kidnap Krishnamoorthy, a Councillor of City Corporation, police added.
