Deck of Nabinagar Power Station cleared, 714 acres land for NTPC

Aurangabad, The major bottleneck in establishing the Super Thermal Power Station of 1000 MW capacity at Nabinagar has been cleared with the transfer of more than 714 acres of land to National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).

Official sources said the Super Thermal Power Station to be set up under the joint venture of Indian Railways and NTPC would not only cater to the needs of electricity of the state but also provide ample employment opportunities for the locals.

”The district administration has formaly handed over the papers to NTPC relating to the transfer of land for setting up the thermal power station,” sources said, adding 555 acres of the land had been acquired while the rest was government land.

In addition to the transfer of 714 acres of land to NTPC, 604 acres would also be required and process for acquisition of the same was on, sources added.
