1,726 pilgrims leave for Amarnath shrine

Jammu, A fresh batch of 1726 pilgrims today left for holy cave shrine of Amarnath in South Kashmir Himalayas, an official spokesman said.
A caravan of 57 vehicles, including 36 buses, 20 LMVs and a truck, carrying 1,726 yatris left for Amarnath shrine at 0515 hrs amidst tight security cover, the spokesman said.
There were 353 women, 52 children and 200 Sadhus in the batch, among others.
