Talent hunt in Bihar to track budding artistes

The Bihar government has decided to organise bi-weekly cultural shows in Darbhanga division to track budding artistes and tap their potentials for grooming them to achieve new heights in their career.
District Magistrate Pran Mohan Thakur said here today cultural shows would be organised in all districts of Darbhanga division on third Friday and fourth Saturday of every month. Such shows on Friday would be known as ‘Guljar’ while on Saturday it would be called ‘Shani-Bahar’, he added.
”Local artistes would be encouraged to participate in the shows which will not only give them a platform to exhibit their talents but also provide them with financial assistance,” he added.
The promising artistes would be sent to take part in national level programmes. A five-member committee had been constituted to make the venture a success, he added.
