Bodies brought to Jorhat from Mechuka ALG

Jorhat, All the 14 bodies of the AN-32 Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft, which crashed on June 9 were brought today to Jorhat in Assam from Mechuka Advanced Landing Ground (ALG) in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh.
IAF sources said the bodies would be handed over to the respective families of the deceased tomorrow.
All the families are yet to arrive at Jorhat, sources added.
The bodies and the wreckage were found yesterday deep inside Arunchal Pradesh’s mountainous region in West Siang district near the Indo China border.
Besides seven IAF personnel, there were as many Indian Army personnel.
Two Wing Commanders and as many Squadron Leaders were travelling in the aircraft. The plane also had two pilots and as many crew members.
The transport aircraft was on a routine air maintenance sortie.
