CM releases ”Puducherry Vision-2025

Puducherry, With the ambitious objective of developing Puducherry into a model state in terms of economy, infrastrucutre, education, tourism and health care, Chief Minister V Vaithilingam today released the ”Puducherry Vision-2025” document.

The document, projecting a balanced, inclusive and sustainable growth by 2025, was prepared by the Cofederation of Indian Industry (CII), Puducherry, and the Sri Ram Charitable trust.

The document was prpared after 60 face-to-face interviews and 14 focus group discussions across the four regions of the Union Territory.

About 300 people from all walks of life had participated in the interviews and 360 people in the interactions.

Seven important areas - tourism, high-end service and manufacturing, agriculture, fisheries and rural development, building high quality infrastrucutre, making available clean energy, enviornment and health - were chosen to prepare the document.

The document recommended packages for attracting tourists, including spiritual tourism, wellness tourism, eco-tourism and heritage tourism.
